Misty Morning Gardens Our Philosophy Misty Morning Gardens creates unique outdoor atmospheres. We customize gardens that are not only beautiful, but that meet your specific needs. We believe that one benefit of the wonderful year-round climate we experience in the Bay Area is that we are able to use our gardens as an extension of our homes. When you invest in your garden, you are more likely to take time out of your life to connect with the outdoors…leading to a greater sense of relaxation and vitality. Alongside our creative approach to outdoor living spaces is a sense of environmental responsibility and sustainability. A garden is a living entity, from the soil depths to the treetops. It contains many micro-environs that require proper care and treatment in order for the garden as a whole to thrive in the long term. Misty Morning Gardens adheres to many of the landscaping guidelines that are put forth by the Bay Friendly Landscaping model which was created by Alameda County’s StopWaste.Org. Please visit the Bay Friendly Landscaping website via the provided link for more information. Our Services Misty Morning Gardens is a full service garden design and landscape construction company. We are licensed by the state of California and fully bonded. Because we are a complete "Design and Install" company, our services include: unique tree and plant arrangement, state-of-the-art irrigation systems, a variety of hardscape applications, and lighting schemes. We also frequently deal with practical issues such as earth retention and drainage solutions. In addition, we work with several local architects, general contractors, and landscape design/architects in collaborative projects to create amazing gardens. How we work Our relationship to each unique site is different based on our clients' needs, lifestyle, micro-climate, etc. The initial consultation is an informal meeting that takes about an hour. This meeting usually includes a stroll through the area while we talk with you and get a sense of what you would like to achieve with the space. We sometimes ask our clients to complete a questionnaire (likes, dislikes, pets, allergies, budget, etc.) that helps us to determine your specific design needs. Feel free to fill out your questionnaire in advance, which is available on this website. We then measure the space and take digital pictures. After this consultation, Misty Morning Gardens goes to work… we translate your needs and desires onto paper & create a landscape design for your new vision. We then return to you with the design, present and explain it to you as well as show you pictures of the plants & accessories that we have selected. There is a hourly consultation rate for both meetings, however, the design and/or design rights are not included in that rate. We are very attentive to concerns and desired changes and, if necessary, a second draft of the plan is made, working out all of the details. After the final design is agreed upon, the project is bid.
